Woodland Spirits: Deer

There are 43 species of deer and the one featured here is a roe
deer. The roe deer is a slender, graceful Eurasian species with
short antlers. Living in areas of mixed countryside including
woodland, farmland, grassland and heathland. They range from
northern Europe and Asia to the high mountains of Central Asia
and South as far as Spain. This sophisticatedly colored 1 oz silver
coin features a majestic, male deer, also referred to as “roebucks”
with its typical marks around the nose. Surrounded by rustic, autumnal
décor that is characteristic of this series. Mintage of this
legal tender Mongolian coin is limited to only 1500 pieces.
